I feel really awful. I shouldn’t have enrolled myself in four upper division philosophy courses in one semester, especially since I’ve never taken even one upper division philosophy course before. I’ve caved on only the first of four papers for my Knowledge & Understanding class. I just emailed my professor asking him if I should drop it. On the first day he said it would likely be our hardest class ever, and I’m definitely starting to believe that. I would feel like complete crap if I had to drop a class, but then again if it means an overall better GPA and lower levels of stress, then I suppose I should do it.

never taken an upper division philosophy course before? take one! … but taking four all at once might be hubris. :)

Sounds like you should drop it. Even if you feel bad, academic achievements only count for so much next to your sanity. Sounds like it’d be worse if your GPA took a nose dive and you stayed in the class.

Don’t over-stress yourself, 4 philosophy courses do sound like a lot…

You can always take over the summer or something if you really need to.
